Home

We are home!

The girls arrived in the USA on 1/23 in the afternoon. After 36 hours waiting at the airport, we were united on 1/25 after 12:30am.

We are adjusting to our new life. The girls are doing great! We are settling into a routine and learning lots of new things.

Why Haiti?

Haiti is the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere? Haiti’s unemployment rate is over 60%? Haiti’s literacy rate is under 50%? Haiti’s life expectancy is 57? The majority of the Haitian population lives on less than a $1 a day, with the median income about $60 per year. Many Haitian parents can’t afford to raise their children and choose to leave them at a local orphanage, or crèche, for basic care and ultimately adoption? There are an estimated 1.2 million orphans in Haiti.Haiti has an interesting history and rich culture.The in-country stay for adoption is 3-5 days. Single women can adopt.
