Although we have not had an update this month it is a good month.

Today marks 18 months since I accepted the referrals for S & C. I had hoped to be further along in the process. (I actually believed they would be home this summer- silly me.) But it is still good. They are healthy and loved (here and in Haiti).

Next week I get to love on my girls again. I can hardly stand the wait. Working Summer Reading Camp has helped curb the anxiety of waiting (and the financial aspects of the trip.) That finishes tomorrow. Then the real wait to travel begins. I want to bring everything - afraid I will forget something. I am sure I will pack a thousand times, stuffing everything in the allotted cases, decide on something else and repack, over and over again. I am having trouble deciding :which of the countlss items I have bought should I bring; which items, that are now too small for them, should I donate; which items will they enjoy playing with the most... The most difficult part is not knowing sizes. I am guessing, but bringing a few of each size to cover my misjudgments.

I also have one case designated for donations. So far that one is not nearly as full as the girls' case. But it will be more so after Friday. A friend has offered to help fill the bag. (Thank you!)

Lord bless the journey which I undertake, that it may profit the health of my soul and body; that I may reach its end, and that, returning safe and sound, I may find my family in good health. Do thou guard, guide and preserve us. Amen.

There has been movement for some this past few weeks. Praying more good news to come before the trip (or even during our trip)!!!!!

  1. I'm hoping for a flood of good news for everyone. I'd love to be out of second legal. I've been in process since May 07 and had hoped mine would be home by March 09. Maybe March 2010....
