Psalm 40:1 I waited patiently for the LORD; he turned to me and heard my cry.

Father God, I humbly come to You, believing that You are working behind the scenes on my behalf. I trust that Your Word is true and believe that through faith and patience, I will see Your promises come to pass in my life. In Jesus’ Name. Amen
The "why" question is a tough one. I feel that the ones who suffer the most by the long waits are the children. However, in an odd way, I am glad that my second daughter had a chance to live in Guatemala for some amount of time. She won't remember it, but it will always be a part of her. Guatemala won't just be where she was born- she lived the Guatemalan life. I hope she will feel more connected to her Guatemalan roots because of the time she spent there. Don't get me wrong, overall it would have been better if she came home earlier and I definely wanter her earlier, but this is a silver lining in the black cloud of the wait.
